OBDF 210: 3D Print Project Update #3

After deciding to go with a draped organic shape I quickly ran into some conundrums. Do I attempt to sculpt a movement based form manually? or do I simulate the situation in real time and then take the form that is the outcome from said simulation?

I attempted the former in Rhino but found I just wasn't quite getting that deceptive feeling I was going for. What I then explored was building a simulation in Blender instead. Below is a few looks at the many trial and errors it took to get the fabric and physics to a place that yielded an outcome I had in mind.

At this stage I have also sketched out the internal construction of the object. Below is a look at some sketches but my next focus is going to be extruding the wall of the object and building everything to spec in Rhino from Blender.
